Attorney General Martha Coakleys Office announced that it has reached a settlement agreement with Goldman Sachs & Company (Goldman), stemming from the offices investigation of subprime lending and securitization markets. The Attorney Generals Office has been investigating the role of investment banks in the origination and securitization of subprime loans in Massachusetts, leading to todays settlement. To resolve any potential claims stemming from the Attorney Generals investigation, Goldman has agreed to provide loan restructuring valued at approximately million to Massachusetts subprime borrowers. The loan restructuring program is designed to enable borrowers to replace problem loans with new, more affordable loans that take into account the current value of their properties. SACRAMENTO, California — July 14, 2010 — US Loan Auditors, the premier California-based forensic real estate loan auditing firm serving victims of predatory mortgage lending abuse, recently held a company blood drive to help the local community fulfill its critical need for the gift of life during the summer season. “We realized there was a critical need for blood during the summer and we all rolled up our sleeves to do our part,” said Shane Barker, one of the founders of US Loan Auditors. “We are proud to give a part of ourselves to help the community.” US Loan Auditors collected 26 pints of blood from its 30 donors and was even able to create the spirit of teamwork and introduce 19 new donors to giving the gift of life. Hundreds of US Loan Auditors customers have gained the leverage they needed to file lawsuits that have helped some of our clients reduce the principal balance on their mortgage, lower their interest rates, decrease their monthly required payments, stop creditor harassment and some clients have even been able to stop foreclosure proceedings. Of course, the results may vary and are dependent on the facts around an individual’s circumstances. Best of all, an initial consultation is absolutely free.

Are Cell Phones and Wireless Devices Dangerous?

The question of cell phone safety is at the forefront following Larry King Live having the widow of Johnny Cochran and medical experts on his show talking about Johnny’s brain tumor and cell phone radiation. The issue is again pertinent with Ted Kennedy and his brain tumor. For years the common assumption was that electromagnetic fields [EMF] and electromagnetic radiation [EMR] was not harmful, even though troubling science has been cropping up for decades. The public was of the opinion that if there was a problem, the industry would have fixed it, and, besides, the government would protect us. However, international government regulations regarding emf’s only protect against heating of tissue from short term exposure. They don’t protect against health problems due to long term, non thermal exposure. Unfortunately, the regulations are based on outdated science and primarily formulated from industry funded studies. The courts are now starting to find for the plaintifs in cases of non thermal EMR injuries. The Alaska Supreme Court recently found in favour of an industry technician injured at his work from non thermal EMR. [click here to view] Two Workers’ Compensation claims were successful in California, again for non thermal effects. There are currently seven class action lawsuits against the wireless industry in the United States. We suggest that you do your own research, and come to your own conclusions.
